Why Is WeChat Actually Down?

WeChat's core app generally works worldwide. But some networks filter Tencent's servers, and users outside mainland China sometimes hit throttled connections or blocked features.
India banned WeChat outright in 2020, alongside dozens of other Chinese apps. It remains blocked there today.
